This dev log marks a rebirth for Dictionarry's documentation - everything prior to this entry has been burned to ashes! None of it is bad, per se, but the writing is very inconsistent in tone, language and structure. Going forward, dev logs will be shorter and more frequent.

# Website 3.0

The old website sucked, I couldn't stand to look at it anymore (let alone work on it), so I rebuilt it from the ground up. It follows a more traditional documentation structure (dual navigation panes, actually functioning search) but integrates many custom components you won't see on static markdown generators. Many of the changes are superficial, don't actually help anyone, but were extremely fun to work on. Some of the notable changes are:
- Better database entry pages with fancy tools
- Search
- Better navigation (more segmented pages with shareable sections)
- Refreshed Wizard (renamed from builder)
- An extremely overthought installation guide complete with videos
- Regex entries
- Media Management
- Discussion via [utterances](https://utteranc.es/)
- Built with svelte!

Time will tell if I end up doing 4.0, but I am for the most part happy with this version. There is so much that's gone into the search / wizard that 99% of people will never see (Bezier curves that resize dynamically, Elo based search using clicks) but I'm glad I worked on it.

# Burnout

I'm really burnt out at the moment, progress is extremely slow and I'm mostly only working on stuff that brings me joy (like this website!), so bear with me through all this. Dictionarry is my baby and it's not something I'd ever consider abandoning (as stressful as it is sometimes). Database work is slow, Profilarr even slower, but we slowly march ahead in spite of it all. I'm starting to pivot back to doing most of this work for myself to have fun, rather than building for the community. It seems a bit counter productive, but I think more meaningful work gets done this way.

What's next? I have no idea!
